July 08
We had 2 sets of visitors in July and really enjoyed both. I am going to include Pat and Susan on this post and Lorraine on David on the next one to follow immediately, I hope!
Susan (Galvin) and Pat Cook from Houston (Susan is an OSU Kappa friend) were here for only a few days. They rented a car and did some touring on their own before coming here, and some again after they left here. While they were here, we did have fun, touring some of our regular places including Fenit, Dingle, and Cahersiveen/Valentia Island. They are both avid photographers and Dana was working most of the time, so I don't have too many pictures but you'll get the idea. We spent the Sunday in Dingle - pictured here is a pretty little knook that we like. (The Bee's Teas used to be the Homely Cafe, a name we liked even better!). Also, here is the tree sculpture in the garden of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dingle and a picture of MFE in the same garden. It was very foggy for the Slea Head Drive so it wasn't as beautiful as usual, but Dana did get one good picture (above).
On the way home we stopped for Irish coffee at the South Pole Inn in Annascul. As you may remember, he's a north pole explorer who is a favorite of mine and a great grandfather of one of my clients. That night we ate at our nearby pub/restaurant - Stoker's.
