TRIP TO DINGLE

On Monday we picked Dana up from work and drove to Dingle. We spent the night in the Dingle Pub, had pizza at a really cute place, and enjoyed music in the pubs. We spent the most time listening to "Baldie Paul" pictured above. We also had a pint in the famous Dick Mack's - a local icon.

The next day we walked around Dingle town, took the boat to see Fungi the dolphin, and did the Slea Head Drive (with much better weather than the week before - sorry Susan and Pat). On the way home we went over the Conor Pass - doing this trip in reverse of our usual jaunt! On the way home we met this herd of cattle going right up the main road!

These are scenes from the Slea Head Drive, including one of the traditional roadside statues - they are almost always like this one - crucifixion, etc. This church and "ogham stone" are from the 16th century.
